How many units is 2.5 mg?
Units (U-100) = 2.5 mg ÷ concentration (mg/mL) × 100. At 5 mg/mL (10 mg in 2 mL) 2.5 mg = 0.5 mL = 50 units; at 10 mg/mL it is 25 units; at 2.5 mg/mL it is 100 units (a full 1 mL syringe). Use the table or the calculator for your vial.
The math
concentration = vial mg ÷ water mL units (U-100) = (2.5 ÷ concentration) × 100 Example: 2.5 ÷ 5 × 100 = 50 units
| Vial + water | mg/mL | mL for 2.5 mg | U-100 units |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 mg + 1 mL | 5 | 0.5 | 50 |
| 5 mg + 2 mL | 2.5 | 1 | 100 |
| 10 mg + 1 mL | 10 | 0.25 | 25 |
| 10 mg + 2 mL | 5 | 0.5 | 50 |
| 10 mg + 3 mL | 3.333 | 0.75 | 75 |
| 10 mg + 4 mL | 2.5 | 1 | 100 |
| 15 mg + 3 mL | 5 | 0.5 | 50 |
| 20 mg + 2 mL | 10 | 0.25 | 25 |
