How many units are on a 0.3 mL insulin syringe?
A 0.3 mL U-100 syringe holds 30 units, and each unit is 0.01 mL. Most 0.3 mL barrels mark every unit (some also mark half units), so 10 units = 0.1 mL and 25 units = 0.25 mL.
The math
capacity = 0.3 mL × 100 = 30 units (U-100) mL = units ÷ 100
| U-100 units | mL |
|---|---|
| 5 | 0.05 |
| 10 | 0.1 |
| 15 | 0.15 |
| 20 | 0.2 |
| 25 | 0.25 |
| 30 | 0.3 |
